Heather and Pete met at University College London in the UK whilst studying for their respective degrees. Heather studied Anatomy and Developmental Biology and Pete did Biotechnology as undergrads. After university, Heather moved away from the Sciences and went into Recruitment and then into a career in HR within Telecoms and then Retail; she now runs a

fractional HR Consultancy. Pete studied for a Masters in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

and then pivoted into a PhD. in Cardiovascular Genetics. After the PhD., he then went into the Pharmaceutical Industry and now co-owns a Strategic Consultancy (SAABOA.com) consulting into the Pharmaceutical Industry, around the world, in multiple therapy areas.

We have always had a love of traveling together and were so sad that the last few years have diminished the opportunity for us to travel with the kids as they got to an age where we felt they would appreciate it. It has been one of the strongest reasons for us to begin this journey as a family, to take our home with us, and to be able to experience some amazing parts of the world with the kids is quite unique and exciting.

Annabelle is now 16 and has always adapted well to change, be it different schools, moving to a different country and now onto the boat. She is an avid reader, and loves mountain biking and dinghy sailing and has a passion for music of all generations. We have a record player on board that she always takes control of the playlist on!

Oscar is 10 and we moved to the US when he was just 12 weeks old. He has a fascination for all things WWII and a passion for creating Lego designs based on things he sees. He too loves mountain biking and has loved the last 2 summers where he has got to join sailing camp and experience the speed of Opti racing! He is starting to get interested in electronics and making simple circuits that he can code using engineering code…..

Bethan is 7 and whilst she is the baby of the family, can give her older siblings a run for their money as she is a confident, funny little girl who holds no prisoners even with the age gap:). She absolutely adores snorkeling and her retention of knowledge of the fish and the reefs that we are surrounded by is second to none!
