Planning turns to reality…September 2023

It finally feels like the last crazy 6 months of planning, lists and madness are becoming real. Back to North East River Yacht Club, (NERYC) in the new boat, and with a heap of work done. Still feels like we are just here for the weekend and will soon head back to Yardley, PA on a Sunday evening, but that isn’t an option any more….. the house is gone, the furniture sold, and our remaining items are in storage or unpacked on the boat.

We spent the summer in Annapolis MD, in about 9 different AirBNB’s as the boat was on the hard and we couldn’t live aboard. The jobs list got bigger, the bills grew as we found other elements of the boat that we needed to sort. Safety was the highest priority given the miles we want to travel so where work needed doing to make this happen, this was non-negotiable for us.

Once we could finally live aboard again we felt we could unpack, settle and get used to life. But we are so keen to move south now especially as the fall starts to hit!
